Daily Tarot Card

One card a day, free and with no sign-up. A new one arrives tomorrow.

For entertainment and reflection. The cards do not predict the future and do not replace a doctor, lawyer or financial adviser.

Meanings of the 22 Major Arcana

For each card: what the picture shows, the upright and reversed meaning, and what it can mean for love and work.

Deck: the 1909 edition, illustrated by Pamela Colman Smith.

How it works

Chance picks the card. The server works it out once a day, for your account if you are signed in and for this browser if not, so coming back shows you the same card. A card you opened before signing in moves to your account if it has no card yet today. Your birth chart and the planets have no effect on the draw, and we do not claim otherwise.

If you are signed in and have marked your own birth chart, one AI-written line appears under the reading. The planet positions and transits in it are calculated with Swiss Ephemeris, like every calculation on AstraBrain. Linking those facts to the theme of the card is interpretation, not calculation.

Tarot cannot be checked against an ephemeris the way a planet position can. That is why we offer it as a way to ask yourself a question, not as a forecast.

What tarot is: its history and why it is not a forecast

The card is chance. The sky is calculated.

A birth chart is built from your date, time and place of birth. Calculate yours and mark it as your own: the daily card gains a line about your transits, meaning where the planets stand today relative to your chart.

Frequently asked questions

Is it free?

Yes. The daily card and all the card meaning pages are free, and you can reveal the card without signing up.

Can I draw again?

No, we show one card a day. A new one arrives tomorrow, by your local time. Without an account, this browser remembers your card, and another browser will draw a different one. In an account the card is saved to your diary and stays the same on all your devices.

Does tarot predict the future?

No. We treat tarot as a way to look at your day from another angle. Do not base decisions about health, money or legal matters on a card: specialists are there for that.

What does a reversed card mean?

The card has landed upside down. It usually points to the same theme from another side: a delay, an imbalance, or something you have not noticed yet. Each card page describes its reversed meaning separately.

What if I am having a really hard time right now?

Cards will not help with this, so please talk to a real person: someone you trust, or a professional. If your life is in danger, call your local emergency number. Free helplines by country are listed at findahelpline.com.

Where do the pictures come from?

They are scans of the 1909 edition illustrated by Pamela Colman Smith. We wrote the meanings ourselves, based on the 1911 book by Arthur Edward Waite and the symbols on the cards.
