Start
November 8, 2026, 14:00 (17:00 UTC)
Circuit
Interlagos (Autódromo José Carlos Pace), São Paulo

Round 20 of the 2026 season stops at Interlagos in São Paulo on 8 November, with the start at 14:00 local time. This page reads the sky at that moment: the new Moon, the Sun, Mars and the other planets, and the two drivers whose natal Suns the sky touches. It describes the sky, not what happens on track.

Drivers touched by the sky

The Moon or Mars within a few degrees of a driver's natal Sun, in conjunction or opposition.

Sun and new Moon together in Scorpio

At the start the Sun is in Scorpio at 16°18′, and the Moon is in Scorpio too, at 9°37′, a little under seven degrees behind it: the new phase, when the dark Moon sits close to the Sun. In symbols a new Moon is a reset, a quiet beginning before anything has been said. Both lights in Scorpio concentrate the mood on depth, privacy and staying power rather than on display. The setting has its own history: the Brazilian Grand Prix began in 1972 as a non-championship event, became a championship race from 1973, spent 1978 to 1989 at Jacarepaguá and has been at Interlagos since 1990, today under the name São Paulo Grand Prix.

Mars and Jupiter side by side in Leo

Mars is in Leo at 22°24′, direct, and Jupiter in Leo at 25°11′ stands less than three degrees from it in the same sign: the two planets of drive and growth sit almost together. Mercury in Scorpio at 7°23′ is retrograde and shares its sign with the Sun and the Moon, so three bodies stand in Scorpio. Venus in Libra at 23°26′ is retrograde as well. Saturn in Aries at 8°50′, Neptune in Aries at 1°56′ and Uranus in Gemini at 4°23′ are retrograde, and Pluto in Aquarius at 3°12′ moves direct. Five of the eight planets in the table, Mercury, Venus, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune, are retrograde, which in symbols turns thought, taste and the slow planets back toward what is already known.

Lawson and Hülkenberg under Mars

Two natal Suns are touched. Transiting Mars is almost exactly opposite Liam Lawson's natal Sun, an orb of just 0.37°, a symbol of friction, pushback and a strong sense of being challenged from across the chart. Transiting Mars also stands on Nico Hülkenberg's natal Sun in conjunction, with an orb of 3.5°, a symbol of energy and heat on the core of the chart, wider but still within reach. Both contacts come from the same planet, so the sky speaks to the two drivers in one voice, Mars. These are the only two natal Suns in the table that the sky touches. They are tendencies in symbols, not promises about the race.

A new Moon in Scorpio, Mars in Leo and five retrograde planets, with Mars opposite Lawson's natal Sun and on Hülkenberg's: a deep, inward sky.
