McLaren Mastercard F1 Team is based in Woking, Surrey, and in 2026 it fields Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri. The team is the second-oldest active one in Formula One, founded by Bruce McLaren in 1963. Here are the two natal charts side by side: what each Sun draws, where the charts touch, and what that pairing means in symbols.

How the two charts connect

Aspects between the two drivers' charts, tightest first. Generational pairs of slow planets are left out.

Two Suns, two ways to use Mars

Lando Norris, born on 13 November 1999, has the Sun in Scorpio at 20°40′. Scorpio is the sign of depth: attention that goes under the surface, stays quiet and holds a point once it has locked on. Oscar Piastri, born on 6 April 2001, has the Sun in Aries at 16°20′. Aries is the sign of the first move: direct, fast to commit, impatient with delay. Both signs trace back to Mars, the planet of drive, but they use it differently. Scorpio keeps the fire banked and presses from below, Aries lights it in the open. Add Norris's Mars in Capricorn and Piastri's Mars in Sagittarius and the contrast sharpens: a patient, structured push on one side, a wide and restless reach on the other.

Where the two charts touch

The tightest link is Venus opposite Venus, 0.7° apart: Norris's Venus in Libra faces Piastri's Venus in Aries across the zodiac. Taste and manner pull in different directions, one smoothing and balancing, the other going straight in. Next, Norris's Rahu makes a trine to Piastri's Venus, and Norris's Lilith trines Piastri's Sun, so something in Norris's chart flows easily toward what Piastri shows on the surface. Norris's Mercury in Scorpio opposes Piastri's Saturn in Taurus, a conversation with a hard edge where ideas meet a limit. The same Mercury squares Piastri's Uranus, and Norris's Sun squares it too: an unsettled spark. Mercury trine Mercury closes the list on an easy note, two minds on one wavelength.

What the pairing says in symbols

Read as symbols, this is a pair built on contrast with a few easy bridges. The Venus opposition says the two will rarely like the same thing for the same reason, which can sharpen both: each sees what the other leaves out. The trines through Rahu, Lilith and Mercury give a channel where talk and instinct pass without much friction. The squares to Uranus add a restless note, a tendency to interrupt routines and test the setup. McLaren is a team of long memory (the second-oldest active team in Formula One, founded by Bruce McLaren in 1963), and a pairing like this gives that memory two quite different temperaments to hold. None of this says who will do what on track. It is a way of describing two people at work in the same room, a map of tendencies and nothing more.

Norris's Sun in Scorpio and Piastri's Sun in Aries make a pair of contrasts, joined by easy trines and one tight Venus opposition.
